Westminster African Business Association
(WABA)

Theoc Consultancy is proud to act as the Secretariat for the Westminster Africa Business Association (WABA).

We strengthen commercial, diplomatic and policy links between the United Kingdom and African markets.

WABA brings together businesses, investors, policymakers and African partners to promote trade, investment and long-term economic collaboration across the continent.

Our Role as Secretariat

As Secretariat, Theoc Consultancy provides the strategic, administrative and convening support that enables WABA to operate effectively. This includes:

  • Managing membership and stakeholder engagement
  • Organising briefings, webinars, events and trade-focused discussions
  • Facilitating dialogue between business leaders, governments and African institutions
  • Supporting policy insight and market intelligence relevant to Africa–UK relations

Our long-standing experience in Africa-focused trade, diplomacy and business engagement ensures WABA members benefit from trusted networks and informed leadership.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the British Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, a new initiative aimed at strengthening trade, investment, and collaboration between the United Kingdom and Ethiopia.

We are working closely with our colleague Arty Hyseni to set up the Chamber, with Laurence serving as a Board Member and Annie providing the Secretariat. This initiative is supported by the Ethiopian Embassy in London, whose assistance has been instrumental.

There are significant and growing opportunities for British companies in Ethiopia, and likewise for Ethiopian businesses in the UK. We also hope to actively engage the Ethiopian diaspora in driving forward this venture.

Connecting Africa with Business.

At the heart of WABA’s work is a commitment to connecting Africa with business.

We help UK and international companies:

  • Understand African markets and regional dynamics
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and partners
  • Identify trade and investment opportunities
  • Engage constructively with governments and institutions, including the African Union

Through events, briefings and targeted introductions, WABA provides a practical platform for meaningful commercial engagement across Africa.
