Theoc Consultancy, acting as the Secretariat to the Westminster Africa Business Association (WABA), was proud to organise an exclusive business lunch at the House of Commons featuring His Excellency Mr Ndolamb Ngokwey, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Kingdom.
The event brought together ambassadors, senior diplomats, parliamentarians, investors, business leaders and WABA members to strengthen commercial ties between the United Kingdom and the Democratic Republic of the Congo and to explore new opportunities for trade and investment.
Hosted in the prestigious surroundings of the House of Commons, the lunch provided an excellent platform for high-level dialogue on the DRC’s growing economy and the significant opportunities available to international investors. Discussions focused on key sectors including mining and critical minerals, agriculture and agri-processing, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, logistics and financial services.
As Secretariat to WABA, Theoc Consultancy managed the planning and delivery of the event, coordinating invitations, stakeholder engagement, event logistics and liaison with Parliament, the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and participating organisations.
Guests heard from His Excellency on the DRC’s vision for economic development and the country’s commitment to attracting international investment and strengthening partnerships with the United Kingdom. The event also highlighted WABA’s plans to develop further engagement with the DRC, including future trade missions and business delegations designed to connect British companies with opportunities in one of Africa’s fastest-growing markets.
The lunch also provided valuable networking opportunities, enabling business leaders, policymakers and diplomatic representatives to establish new relationships and discuss practical areas for future collaboration.
