Theoc Consultancy is pleased to be working with the KGCP Strategic Insights & Policy Forum on the development of a proposed UK–Central Asia Strategic Economic Corridor Initiative, designed to strengthen long-term economic, trade, investment and strategic engagement between the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region.
As collaboration partners, Laurence Robertson and Annie Robertson of Theoc Consultancy are supporting discussions around the initiative’s strategic direction, stakeholder engagement and potential opportunities for deeper cooperation between governments, diplomatic representatives and the private sector.
The KGCP Strategic Insights & Policy Forum is currently preparing a research-led White Paper examining the potential for a new UK–Central Asia economic corridor. The research will place particular emphasis on Uzbekistan, reflecting the country’s growing importance across international trade, investment, infrastructure, strategic resources and regional economic development.
The initiative aims to identify practical opportunities for collaboration in areas including:
- Trade and market access
- Investment and project development
- Infrastructure and logistics
- Energy and strategic resources
- Financial and professional services
- Technology, innovation and skills
- Government and business engagement
Theoc Consultancy is also supporting engagement with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, with discussions intended to help ensure that the research reflects Uzbekistan’s principal economic, trade and investment priorities.
The proposed engagement would provide an opportunity to benefit from the practical perspectives of senior diplomatic representatives, including, where appropriate, His Excellency Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov, as well as representatives from business, government and strategic partner organisations.
Laurence Robertson brings extensive experience to the initiative following 27 years as a Member of Parliament, during which he served as a Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy and worked closely with governments, embassies and international business leaders to promote trade and investment.
Through its work on the initiative, Theoc Consultancy will help bring together the diplomatic, policy and commercial communities to explore how the United Kingdom and Central Asian countries can build stronger and more sustainable economic partnerships.
