Theoc Consultancy was pleased to take part in a successful trade mission to Ethiopia, alongside the East Africa Association and WABA. The visit brought together businesses and stakeholders to explore opportunities in one of Africa’s fastest-growing markets.
Engagements with senior government officials and institutions, including the Ethiopian Investment Commission and the Capital Market Authority, reinforced a clear message—Ethiopia is open for business and committed to long-term investment and reform.
Site visits to Kilinto and Bole Lemi Industrial Parks highlighted strong opportunities in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and export-led industries. With over 70% of the population under 30, Ethiopia offers a young and dynamic workforce to support growth.
Discussions with the Ministry of Labour and Skills also emphasised the importance of workforce development, with initiatives such as the Skills Development Park Project aligning skills with industry needs.
The mission coincided with the 4th Invest in Ethiopia Forum, which saw record investment commitments across energy, manufacturing, mining, and infrastructure—demonstrating growing global confidence in the market.
Trade missions like this are invaluable in building relationships, understanding local markets, and turning opportunity into real investment.
Theoc Consultancy continues to support businesses looking to engage with Ethiopia and the wider East African region.
